Parents

1 or 2 Out of 168

There are 168 hours in a week and on the average a child spends one or sometime two of these hours at church. (There are some weeks when this is not the case, but this is an average week.)  So what about the other 166 hours left in the week. What steps are being taken to ensure you child is growing in their faith development?
Although Sunday morning and midweek programs are very important, parents have the greatest influence on a young person's faith development.  So let me encourage you to provide an atmosphere where your young child can grow spiritually, lead by example and place high priority on being a disciple of Jesus Christ.  This may mean turning off the TV or not taking part in a sports league that takes place on Sunday or praying before every meal, whatever.  So begin today, because you still have a large say on what takes place during these 166 hours in the week. This will be one of the most important decisions you will ever make.
