"Wells in Africa" "Water for Life"

Hi, my name is Kelly Erickson, I am 12 years old, and I will be participating in this year's confirmation class at PFUMC.

Building one well in Africa provides water for 3,000 thirsty people in one village.  That's equivalent to 3 PFUMC congregations!!!  The cost to build one well is $2,500. Our goal is to raise $8,000 so we can build 2-3 wells in the Liberian area of Africa.  The Missions Committee at church is matching dollar per dollar up to $3,000 for the well project which is called "Water for Life".  "Water for Life" is organized under the United Methodist Church Partnership with the Bishop of Liberia.

Wristband available for
every $3 donation.

At church, we have set up a "bank account" which we can put all of the collected funds into to keep safe until they are used.  Any checks can be written to PFUMC and in the memo line write "wells in Africa".  The confirmation class will be taking on this project as their service hours.  We have only one year to complete this entire project.  It is my hope that I can go to Africa and see the well being built.

Thank you for visiting this website and for your donation!
