Matthew
25:40
The
King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of
these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
Cass Community Center
P.F.U.M.C. has supported the efforts of Cass Community
Social Services for many years. In addition to Guest Week, we have also
partnered with Cass by offering their "MUD MATS" for sale. These are
wonderful, durable door mats made by Cass Community members using discarded
tires picked up from the streets of Detroit. For more information or to purchase
a Mud Matt, please contact Marnie Holdefer @ 734-879-0606 P.F.U.M.C. Volunteers also participate in
Soup Kitchens at both Cass and Baldwin Centers. For more
information on how you can volunteer to help at Cass see their website @

Salvation Army

distribution to the Plymouth Community. Food can be dropped off in the
entryway of the church, just to the left in the container marked Salvation Army.
Special events and needs will be published in the Beacon. Contact Debbie Single.
S.C.H.O.O.L. Program
(Sharing Christ's Heart, Offering Our Love)
Formerly known as the Field School Partnership this
ministry is to children in the Plymouth-Canton school district.
Collection of non-perishable food items, as well as warm clothing for needy
children at several area schools is ongoing. You may drop off items in the
container provided just inside the front door of the church. Watch the
Beacon for special needs as they arise. Contact Debbie Single.
First Step
(Domestic and sexual violence shelter and services)
At P.F.U.M.C., we support First Step throughout the
year by collecting used cell phones and donating them to the
organization, where they are recycled and repurposed. Some of the phones are
programmed for domestic violence victims to use as emergency phones, providing a
valuable tool in their safety plan. The phone collection box is located
just inside the front door of the Church.
Another way we can assist victims of sexual assault
is to donate new sweat suits for women. Larger sizes are preferred, in any
color or brand. These are given to victims in the hospital when their own
clothing must be kept as evidence. It is a warm and comforting gift to
give to someone in need at a very traumatic time. These items may also be
dropped in the First Step box at the church. For more information on First Step
you can visit their website @www.firststep-mi.org
