Music Academy |
|
Mission Statement:
The mission of
the Music@First Fine Arts Academy is to
provide quality music instruction for children, youth, and adults, in
order to invite participation in our music ministry, engage the
surrounding community, and perpetuate church music by training future
musicians and leaders.
We are dedicated
to creating an atmosphere where students can learn music, grow
spiritually and use their talents to glorify our Creator. We are a
ministry of the First United Methodist Church, and function under the
umbrella of the church's music ministry. |
|
Enrollment and
Instruction:
Private study is offered in piano,
organ, flute, clarinet, saxophone, voice, guitar and violin. The lessons
are offered on a weekly basis in 30 minute blocks. Advanced lessons in
piano are available with permission from the instructor and Academy
director. These lessons are 45 minutes and will have an additional cost.
Vocal instruction is offered to seventh graders through adults. See the
Academy Coordinator for prerequisites to organ study. |
|
Registration :
To begin the enrollment process, new students must
contact the Coordinator, complete a
registration form
and enrollment
agreement, and submit them with the first installment of tuition on or
before the registration deadline. When a student is enrolled, he/she
is committing to an entire semester of study. |
