Our Mission: The purpose of the
nursery ministry is to provide for the needs of infants and toddlers
as well as parents and caregivers, and to support their involvement
in the community of First United Methodist Church.
Nursery Program
The nursery ministry provides childcare for regular Sunday church
services, as well as special church services and during the
Wednesday Night Evenings of Education. Our nursery program is
designed for newborns to age 24 months. Infants and toddlers are cared for in
either the infant room or the toddler room. The infant room is equipped with cribs, baby swings, exersaucer,
bouncy seat, books, toys, play house as well as a microwave or hot water for heating food
and bottles. The toddler room contains a softscape mat area, toys, books,
excersaucer, baby swing, bouncy seat, table and chairs . We also have a nursing
mothers’ area set aside in the infant room for nursing mothers or anyone needing
a private place to feed their infant.
