Our Mission: The purpose of the
nursery ministry is to provide for the needs of infants and toddlers
as well as parents and caregivers, and to support their involvement
in the community of First United Methodist Church.
Nursery Program
The nursery ministry provides childcare for regular Sunday church
services, as well as special church services and during the
Wednesday Night Evenings of Education. Our nursery program is
designed for newborns through age two. Infants are cared for in
the infant room which is equipped with cribs, baby swings,
exersaucers, as well as a microwave or hot water for heating food or bottles.
At about age one, children are moved to the toddler room, which contains toys
and books better suited for walking toddlers. We also have a nursing
mothers’ area set aside in the infant room for nursing mothers or anyone needing
a quiet place to feed their infant. Please check Volunteers for information on
volunteering or to check your schedules.
Please email us at
