Springhill Winter Teen Retreat
|
 |
The
first weekend of February, we took 19 youth (grades 7th - 10th)
to Springhill Camp for a retreat. |
|
It was a great experience in every aspect. The youth were
challenged to thrive in their faith. Many youth made
recommitments. To see God working on the hearts of our youth was
inspiring and emotional for myself and the other leaders. God is
awesome and is doing wonderful things in the lives of our youth
here. We worshipped with the band, Leo. |
|
I also challenged the youth to walk through the prayer
labyrinth, which was eye opening for many of them. |
 |
 |
The weekend was busy, but lots of fun! We played broomball (like
Hockey) and won our first game 5-0 but then lost the second one. |
Saturday afternoon we had free time. Youth went
snowboarding, tubing, horseback riding, and paintballing. Then
we came inside to the climbing wall, Jacob's ladder, and the
eurobungy. We will definitely be going back next winter!! Check
out more pictures on facebook.

 "Relate Retreat"
November 5-7th, 16 youth plus 6 adults from our church attended
the Fall Retreat at Judson Collins. We were joined by four other
United Methodist Churches: Ann Arbor Westside, Chelsea, Dexter,
and Saline. Total from all the churches we had 115 youth and
adults. We had to bring in more beds into the sleeping areas! It
was very exciting. Our theme for the weekend was "Relate," so
we discussed our relationship with God, friendships,
boyfriend/girlfriend relationships, and family relationships.
The youth had the opportunity to spend some quality time with
God, meet new people, play games, and relax. On the car ride
home the youth kept asking me when we could do it again because
they had such a fun time! Thanks for the prayers and please
continue to pray for all the youth at PFUMC!! |
